Before issuing this statement, I had taken some time to wrap my head around the recent incomprehensible action(s) taken by the United States Supreme Court, regarding reproductive rights to American citizens
On May 2, 2022, there had been a February 10, 2022 United States Supreme Court draft "leaked" to the press, regarding the 1973 Roe v. Wade USSC (7-2) decision, upholding the right to privacy, with respect to women (in this entire nation) having safe access to reproductive services, including abortion. In the midst of step-backs from the court as to the reach of the decision, and in the face of the betrayal experienced by the millions of U S citizens who are pro-choice, on June 24, 2022, the United States Supreme Court defied "settled law", and ignored majority sentiments, by rejecting the 49 year old legalized personal freedom, and returning such a given right of all Americans, back to the individual states. By allowing conservative and religious agendas to take hold and flourish in numerous states, the Court has blown-open the floodgates which protect us from such extremist, selfish, ignorant and dangerous practices. Led by Alito and Thomas, the Court is allowing and encouraging the fragmentation of this country; pitting races, religions, and economic status against one another. This one choice by the Court, usurping the will of the people, will embolden the Court to continue to erode and fracture a once unified nation. This Court, which has justified returning "power" back to the states, has also ruled that the state of New York, over-stepped its legal authority in the restriction of guns, and over-turned that state's individual authority to make law. The Republican Court has an agenda, and have become emboldened to continue the "march on Washington" lawmakers, and against the majority of Americans. They have abused, and will continue to abuse, the power which they have been granted, by the same Constitution they now wish to ignore.
